The Respect 90 Foundation is proud to join the Cal Ripken Sr Foundation in supporting an initiative that touches the missions of both foundations.

Respect90 Foundation is dedicated to giving children and families opportunities to develop championship attitudes through sports, academics, and community involvement. The core of the Ripken Foundation’s mission is to teach kids the fundamentals of baseball and softball in fun, engaging way while providing safe places to play, learn and grow.

In efforts to expand the reach and impact more youngsters, both foundations have partnered with Jim Curnal, the owner of the Athletic Pitcher series.

The Athletic Pitcher series is a set of five videos that can be used by student-athletes, coaches, and mentors to teach children how to pitch safely and effectively while avoiding arm injuries and fatigue.

A former professional baseball player who spent three years as a pitcher in the New York Yankees minor-league organization, Jim has spent the last 20 years working with athletes between the ages of 10 and 22, offering group and individual instruction in basketball, football and baseball. During Jim’s 10-year high school coaching tenure, he has provided instruction to hundreds of athletes in his role as a coach and personal instructor.

“My goal as a coach has first and foremost always been to provide young athletes with the tools and the opportunity to succeed, “ says Jim. “I felt there was no better way to support my philosophy and goal than to create the “Athletic Pitcher” series to provide the learning tools for youth pitchers and the teaching tools for coaches and parents.”

Jim will donate a portion of the pitching series sales to the Respect90 Foundation and the Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation.
